Online competitions for high school students
Competitions you can enter without travelling, either fully online or with an online qualifying round. This matters most if you are outside the United States, if travel cost is a barrier, or if your school has no team infrastructure. Several of these are open worldwide.

Questions people ask about this
Can international students enter US competitions?
Often, but not always, and the rules differ. Olympiad pathways usually restrict team selection to citizens or residents while opening the exams more broadly. Each listing states which regions it accepts.
